PURPOSE & PRACTICE

I'm a designer who's drawn to hard problems; the kind where you have to find the structure before you find the solution. I like untangling systems, connecting pieces that don't obviously belong together, and building something clear out of something complicated.

With a background in writing, I tend to look for the deeper meaning in things, like the story a brand, a layout, or a system is actually trying to tell. That shows up in the details: typography, rhythm, the way something holds together, no matter the medium

Design doesn't stop for me at the job. I'm usually crocheting something new, baking a fresh loaf of sourdough, or tracking down the coziest coffee shop to read in and taking photos along the way. Lately, I've been fascinated by design's overlap with food: how cooking and health tracking are systems too, just ones that are deeply personal and different for everyone.
